[edit]Should this be disappearance or disappearances? See Wikipedia:Naming conventions (pluralization). IMHO, words commonly used in this context include:
- disappearances (plural) There were many disappearances in Argentina.
- disappeared Many people were disappeared by the authorities in Argentina.
Is it used in the singular? So-and-so was disappeared by the security forces of country X. but i don't think human rights organizations write We consider X to be the victim of a disappearance, they're more likely to explain in more detail.
Anyway, that's why IMHO this entry is OK as a plural - later if the word is used in the singular it can be redirected.
