[edit]I heard about the Wikipedia just a couple weeks ago on National Public Radio. Great undertaking. Certainly ambitious.
Regarding the USS Reuben James. Just a couple minor pieces that I think might not square with the facts. The German sub (U-552) was NOT part of a wolf pack. It was operating independently.
And, to my knowledge, "The Roob" had not positioned herself between the sub and an ammo ship. USS Reuben James had just been notified of a possible ASDIC spotting of a sub nearby and had just started to turn to investigate when the torpedo hit.
And, the music of the song "Sinking of the Reuben James" was based on "Wildwood Flower" and not "Golden Vanitee" (which is, however, another neat song about a ship.
Thanks for taking feedback.

- The Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ships, compiled and published by the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, states "The ship had postured itself between an ammunition ship in the convoy and the known position of a German U-Boat Wolfpack." Unless you have a better source for your knowledge, the comment stays. --the Epopt 01:43 Mar 17, 2003 (UTC)
