Part of Indian Territory before Oklahoma statehood
[edit]I question the statement that the area now known as Nowata County became a part of Oklahoma Territory in 1890. The area belonged to the Cooweescoowee District of the Cherokee Nation until Oklahoma became a state on November 16, 1907. Bruin2 (talk) 02:38, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
