[edit]I tried to make the name formatting more compact (like how is done for Korean articles and proposed before for Chinese ones) and commented out unused subheadings because they just dont look good.
Did he really die on his ninetieth birthday? --Jiang 07:22, 9 Jan 2004 (UTC)
I should have kept the subheadings in my sandbox, my apology. General Sun passed away at the age of 91 (or 92 in Chinese age counting) accroding to the National Tsing Hua University memorial website. http://vm.rdb.nthu.edu.tw/general/year_table.html 大将军, 都督中外诸军事 (talk) 07:42, 9 Jan 2004 (UTC)
I am getting conflcting dates of death (民國七十九年十一 月十九日辭世 from photo caption at the top right but the calender converter by Academia Sinica [1] converted that to January 4 1991. Expert advice is needed. 大将军, 都督中外诸军事 (talk) 08:02, 9 Jan 2004 (UTC)
- In Taiwan, they uses 民國XX年(with 民國元年=1912) to denote years but uses the Gregorian calendar (not Chinese calendar) to denote months and days. So 民國七十九年十一月十九日 is the same as November 19, 1990. --Lorenzarius 15:52, 10 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Politically biased.
[edit]" China was in the middle of civil war, and Soviet and Japanese invaders seemed poised to devour China."
In 1924 Russia had much more serious problems than invading China, some parts of it's territory were still ocupied by Japan.
