Hola. Say, did you contribute anonymously before you created your account (perhaps as 80.224.97.8)? If so, and you want to change attribution for your edits to your shiny new account, you can do so at Changing attribution for an edit. Thanks. -- Finlay McWalter 19:29, 21 Jan 2004 (UTC)
Are you by any chance the ESR or just, ahem, "borrowing" his name? -- ChrisO 13:52, 27 Jan 2004 (UTC)
- I wanna know, too! I'm a big open source groupie/junkie!! BTW, welcome to Wikipedia! --Uncle Ed 21:49, 4 Feb 2004 (UTC)
Hi, it appears that you have edited only for one day (January 21) under your real name. I hope you return; this place is genuinely one of the things that justify all the hate-speech, child porn and other dark sides of internet.

Speedy deletion nomination of Simple Revision Control
[edit]Hello Eric S. Raymond,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Simple Revision Control for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Trivialist (talk) 17:05, 27 November 2014 (UTC)
Please cite sources
[edit]I noticed you've made several edits to Eurogame without providing sources; your comments at Talk:Eurogame suggest you were using Stewart Wood's book "Eurogames" as a source for at least one of your edits. Can you please add source information using one of the citation templates please (probably {{cite book}} in this case). Unsourced statements may be contested and deleted. [edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at The American School in London, you may be blocked from editing. Toddst1 (talk) 19:43, 26 June 2017 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Eric S. Raymond. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article The American School in London, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 19:43, 26 June 2017 (UTC)
- I'd like to bring your attention back to this, Eric as it appears you have one for Dave Taht as well. Praxidicae (talk) 17:06, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
An article you recently created, Dave Taht, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Praxidicae (talk) 17:06, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
Your draft article, Draft:Dave Taht
[edit]Hello, Eric S. Raymond. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Dave Taht".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}
, {{db-draft}}
, or {{db-g13}}
code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 17:27, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
