Hey -- I've been reading for a couple of years, and dabbed and copy-edited a few articles along the way when there were some egregious errors.
I divide my time between the study of biology and genetics and the bizarre and occasionally sleazy world of freelance journalism; lately, it's been dominated by the latter. I was news editor at Vancouver alt-weekly Terminal City (magazine) until it folded in late 2005; now, I write a city-beat column in the Vancouver edition of 24 Hours. Oh yeah, and I also blog about stuff from time to time.
