A nickname which is a combination of the prefix "Simpol" (slang for "Simple") and man. The root of this nickname is believed to have been based in the Lynyrd Skynyrd song "Simple Man" recorded in the mid 70s, in which the singer discusses a particular philosophical outlook passed on from his mother. The resounding theme of the mother's lesson was that the singer be a "Simple kind of man", but she went on to pass along several more sagacious messages such as: "Take your time, Don't live too fast, Troubles will come, and they will pass", and "Forget your lust, for the rich man's gold, all that you need, is in your soul". These ideas seem to speak of a certain ideological serenity, that rather than live live in constant fret one should find the golden mean in all aspects of life, and not sweat the small stuff. It's from this nickname that the prefix Simpol emanates, and as such all things prefixed with it are thought to be deeply rooted this core belief.
