Mod activity increasingly untenable in relation to Russia and its economy

[edit]

I wanted to give a headsup to anyone reading this that there are mods going round 'repealing' anything that they deem changes the appearance of Russia prior to 2022. I am getting sick of this and am expecting an outage of Wikipedia being reported globally any time soon as it's illegal content (I myself can't read it as a result). They ought to know where I stand by now as they have been given an overt explanation. I can't assist in this and the course the mods are plotting for themselves. Clearly they are looking at being singled out by law enforcement pretty soon if nobody shows willingness to update the Russia pages and allow edits that are appropriate and factually accurate.--148.252.146.215 (talk) 00:58, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah talking to myself now (in this latest reply right here) but I now note you can't even edit Wikipedia without being complicit in the organisation, on posts such as Russia in detail areas where there is the continued claptrap of 'business as usual' articles about Ukraine/Russia citing outdated information as though it's current, refusing to show or acknowledge the distinction between the past and present. You're locked out of editing and I think it's deliberate as I now believe Wikipedia has been overtaken by terrorist sympathisers and this is their recruitment method. Once you join, your posts will be overturned if you can't explain how to get blood from a stone and why Satan will let you off if you've been rejected from heaven. This is Wikipedia 2024 and it sticks out like a sore thumb stuck in a pot of borscht. I now hold mods on here, and idiot contributors, partly to account for the invasion of Ukraine and Russia's self-harming path. Wikipedia is really grown up kids, who in the early days of the internet thought nobody could trace them, recognise them, and they wanted to change the world at their whim. They probably got into drugs because they were educated and could afford it, and managed to escape the authorities with that type of whit only a crook has and police recognise, once this happened they became twisted and feel the only thing that matters is the keyboard, LAN cable, and monitor in front of their eyes, waiting to be rounded up in a few years when Marshall law finally come this way (because nobody is smart enough to sense what they're doing) to be found (finally, and only then) to be clinically insane devil worshippers that nobody had any idea of before, not like they put their family name in their sig and didn't stop talking about their secret activity on the internet every Saturday down the pub. I liken them to Hitlers, we're all shafted by them, supposed to pretend we don't know they're afraid to go outside without hellscaping the world via the internet 5 minutes before leaving their house in order to distract everyone, and finding ways to get everyone 'involved' when all they wanted was for them to pack it up, call it a day, admit it's not what it was and that you're not even sure why you'd listen to yourself anymore just because you know some odd, mostly-irrelevant-to-the-common-man factoid about Peru (except you don't, you just obsess over paradox explanations being supplied that are as mutually exclusive to reality as a flying gibbon is coal-powered pig spliced elephant after it's managed, somehow (but I'm sure there's an explanation for that) to fornicate with a shrew-like mammal smaller than a mouse, without the assistance of any lab equipment such as a fertility clinic for metasticised morphoidosic mammalian quadrapedal fur-sprouting 148.252.146.215 (talk) 01:30, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

PPP

[edit]

The figures are for GDP PPP, not "real GDP". (says 85.249.41.216)

Can we have reliable GDP estimates?

[edit]

The GDP figures for 2021 and 2022 are taken from sources (e.g. IMF and World Bank) which specify that these are estimates in the absence of comprehensive reliable data, which the Russian Federation is no longer providing.

According to Russian official news agency TASS, the official Russian statistics agency Rosstat has just published a new estimate stating "the GDP at the end of 2021 amounted to 135.773 trillion rubles ($1.5 trillion) and at the end of 2022 it was 155.350 trillion rubles ($1.6 trillion)."

These figures are more than 15% lower than the numbers currently shown in the GDP tables here as well as in the table of GDP by country.

At what point do we shift from wishful thinking to actual data? Bungler91 (talk) 23:20, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • The main players who compute GDP all use different methods, which is why you have variances, look at the IMF (1,862,470), World bank (2,240,422) and the UN (1,778,782), these are massive differences, however when they do comparisons, at least they are fairly consistent between the countries each look at, Russia is 11th, 8th and 11th in List of countries by GDP (nominal). If TASS is reporting government figures, I would be tempted to use those as insufficient data on each economic area of their economy will be released by Russia for several years yet to make western assessments more accurate. Can someone please edit the typo in External trade and investment?

"Russia top exports in 2021 were: Crude oil $110.9b, Processed oil $69.9b, gold $17.3b, coal $15.4b and natural gat $7.3b."

Obviously 'gat' should be 'gas'. Thank you :) Wooby666 (talk) 12:01, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Forecasts numbers

[edit]

Do not use forecast numbers. They are complete fantasy. Wait for end of the year and few months after for first real estimates are calculated. Elk Salmon (talk) 23:32, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I assume you mean in the infobox. Totally agree but whenever I remove such numbers other editors put them back in. Hope you can succeed where I did not. Chidgk1 (talk) 06:34, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
